How painful is laser hair removal?

Modern laser hair removal is not considered a painful treatment.
Most guests describe it as a very cool, slightly tingling sensation – not pain.

What does the guest really feel?

Typical sensations during treatment may include:

  • quick, subtle "pinch" when flashing

  • cooling effect due to head cooling

This is not a constant pain, but a brief, momentary sensation. Many people are surprised by how tolerable or downright easy the treatment is.

Why is it so much more comfortable today than in the past?

Modern laser technology:

  • works with strong head cooling

  • protects the skin surface

  • reduces the feeling of heat

This is a huge difference compared to old technologies, which actually caused more inconvenience.

What does the individual perception of pain depend on?

The level of comfort depends on several factors:

Body area treated

Some areas may be more sensitive, while others may barely respond.

Hair thickness

The first few times, when the hair is still strong, the sensation may be more intense – later it will decrease significantly.

Individual sensitivity

Every nervous system perceives differently – this is completely normal.

Is it more painful than waxing?

According to most guests' experiences:

  • less painful than waxing

  • no afterburn sensation

  • no long-term skin irritation

Many people switch to laser after experiencing painful waxing.

What happens as treatments progress?

As:

  • the amount of hair decreases

  • the strands are thinning

  • growth is sparse

This makes the treatment more and more comfortable. Many guests hardly feel it on subsequent occasions.

Important: you don't have to "put up with it"

Laser hair removal is not a test of strength. During the treatment:

  • we pay attention to feedback

  • settings can be customized

  • the goal is a balance of efficiency and comfort

Safety and a good experience matter together.

Fear is often greater than experience

Many people arrive saying:

“I’m afraid because I imagine it’s painful”

And they leave like this:

"This was much easier than I thought"

This is a very common experience.
