WHY DON’T ALL SALONS WORK THE SAME WAY?
Waxing is not an exact recipe — it’s a series of professional decisions.
Every salon works with:
-
different products
-
different techniques
-
different pacing
-
different levels of knowledge, from inexperienced to highly professional
-
more or less painful methods
-
premium or lower-cost materials
This alone is not necessarily a matter of right or wrong — the key question is why we work the way we do.
OUR PROFESSIONAL PRINCIPLE
We don’t ask:
“What is usually used on this body part?”
We ask instead:
“On this specific skin surface, what is the most gentle, safest, and most effective solution?”
That’s why we don’t think in terms of body-part names, but in terms of skin characteristics.
WHAT WE CONSIDER WHEN MAKING A DECISION
When choosing a technique, we take into account:
-
skin thickness
-
skin sensitivity
-
whether the area is contoured or flat
-
how mobile the skin is
-
hair thickness and density
Together, these determine which method we use.
HOW WE WORK IN PRACTICE
SOFT, THIN-SKINNED, CONTOURED AREAS
(not only intimate areas)
These may include:
-
intimate area
-
underarms
-
skin folds (e.g. inner thigh–intimate line, neck)
-
certain facial areas
-
any area where the skin is more prone to injury
In these areas, we use hard wax, because it:
-
does not adhere strongly to the skin
-
reduces the risk of injury
-
allows greater precision in folds
-
provides better control of movement
Goal: skin protection + gentleness.
LARGE, FLAT, LESS SENSITIVE AREAS
Examples include:
-
legs
-
arms
-
back
-
chest
-
abdomen
👉 Here, we use cartridge (soft) wax, because it is:
-
faster and more precise
-
more even
-
more effective on large surfaces
-
less tiring for the skin during longer treatments
Goal: efficiency + speed + comfort.
DO WE APPLY THIS THE SAME WAY FOR WOMEN AND MEN?
The principle is the same, but:
-
men often have thicker hair
-
women often have more sensitive skin
Therefore:
-
the technique
-
the pace
-
the amount of product used
are always adapted to the individual client, not to gender or generic formulas.
WHY IS THIS GOOD FOR THE CLIENT?
This approach:
-
reduces irritation
-
minimizes pain
-
allows for faster treatments
-
protects the skin long-term
It’s not “more spectacular” waxing — it’s smarter waxing.
There is no universal wax rule. For each treatment, we choose the technique that is most gentle, effective and safest for the given skin area. That is why we work with several types of waxes – consciously.
